A. A visa is an official document given to an individual seeking entrance into a country for a specified length of time or for a specified activity. Listed below are a few of the commonly requested visas:
Transit Visa: valid for three days or less – best used when traveling through a country to get to another destination.
Tourist Visa: valid for a limited period of leisure travel with no business activities allowed.
Business Visa: valid for engaging in commerce or business activities.
Temporary Worker Visa: valid for those who are approved to work in the host country. These are typically valid for longer than a business visa and must be verified by an official employer.
On Arrival Visa: this is usually granted right before you arrive in the country- specifically at the border or the airport.
Spousal Visa: valid for those who are married to a certified resident or national where a visa is required for entry. These are given out to those who are getting married and need a visa for the couple to enter the country and settle together.
Student Visa: valid for a student who is studying in a foreign country at an accredited university, college or school.
Fiancée Visa: valid for those who are engaged to a certified resident or national of another country where a visa is required for entry. These are granted with a limited timeframe – most often prior to the marriage.
Immigrant Visa: valid for those intending to immigrate to another country.
