Do I need a visa to travel to the BRAZIL?
US travelers carrying US passports DO need a visa to visit Brazil.
For those travelers who do not hold US passports, you may or may not need a visa to visit Brazil. In order to find out whether or not you will need a visa to travel to Brazil, please click on the following link: http://www.brazilian-consulate.org/
There are several types of visas you can apply for when traveling to Brazil. The type of visa you will need depends on the type of trip you are planning on taking to Brazil.
- Tourist’s Visa – For standard tourist travel
- Business/Work Visa – For those traveling for business purposes, i.e. conferences, conventions, meetings etc…
- Student Visa – For those travelers who intend to study in a college or university in Brazil
There are other visas you can obtain but the 3 mentioned above are the most common visas requested by individuals traveling to Brazil.
Once you figure out which visa you will need for your trip, you must begin the application process.
Depending on the type of visa you are applying for there will be different documentation required. Please follow the appropriate steps necessary to obtain the visa you seek.
If you are applying for a Tourist’s Visa, you will need to supply us with the following documentation:
- A fully completed and signed application
- Your current passport with at least 6 months validity and at least one blank visa page
- One full-faced passport-size photo
- A copy of the itinerary or round-trip airline ticket to Brazil showing passenger’s name, flight numbers and arrival/departure dates
- A money order made out to the Brazilian Consulate for the appropriate fees
For Non-US citizens, you must also include a COPY of the US Alien Resident Card for Foreign Residents, and/or a valid visa, or a document to return from Brazil to the US or another country.
PLEASE BE SURE TO INCLUDE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS PLUS COPIES OF ALL REQUESTED DOCUMENTS THAT SUPPORT YOUR APPLICATION.
Once you have gathered all of your documentation, you will need to ship it or hand deliver it to us (hand delivery is only available for customers in the Los Angeles area) so that we can submit your application to the Los Angeles Brazilian Consulate office the following business day.
We also require customers to submit a pre-paid shipping label from Fed-Ex, UPS, DHL or the Post Office so that we can ship all documents back in a timely manner.
Our fee to expedite your Brazilian visa is $75.00. We accept personal checks, money orders or cashier’s checks. Please make out your payment to Allstar Passports & Visas.
