CHINA Tourist Visa

STEP 1 -- Download and fill out necessary forms

Tourist Visas are needed if you are traveling for any of the following reasons:

1) General vacation, sightseeing or tourism.
2) Educational purposes such as professors, scientists or researchers attending museums, cultural activities, conferences or seminars.
3) To participate in an amateur competition, sports or otherwise, where there is no paid admission or compensation received.
4) To visit family, in-laws, friends or acquaintances.

STEP 2 -- Gather and prepare all necessary items to ship to Allstar

Valid Passport

Pack and ship your valid passport with at least 6 months of validity left and at least one visa page .

1 Passport Photo

Photo must meet specs and be 2x2, color or black and white, with a standard white or light-colored background. Please do NOT send digital photos as they may not be accepted and could cause delays. AAA, Kinko’s, Mailboxes Etc and most large chain operated pharmacies (such as Walgreen’s) provide passport photos.

For multiple Entry visas only

Applicants for multiple entry visas must provide one of the following requirements:

Documents proving that you will be visiting China frequently for tourist purposes. Letters of invitation from a family member in China, proof that a relative owns real estate in China, sales or lease agreement for an apartment or residence in China, copy of an adoption certificate, or child’s former passport if he/she was adopted in China.

You were born in China, but no longer maintain Chinese citizensip, and have visited China at least twice in the last year, and are able to submit copies of your past Chinese visas.

You are able to submit an official letter from the host institution in China, or an application letter that explains need to visit China frequently for tourism.

You are renewing a 6 month or 1 year visa and can submit a copy of the visa if it is in a different passport than the one submitted for the new visa.

STEP 3 -- Prepare Payment of processing fees

Single Entry Visas are valid for 3 months from the date of issue, for a stay not exceeding 30 days.

Include one US Postal Service Money Order in the appropriate amount made out to “The Consulate of the PRC”. Must be a postal money order. Personal or corporate checks are NOT accepted by the Chinese consulate .
