For those individuals planning on studying in the UK, you will need to apply for a Student Visa. If you are applying for a Student Visa, you will need to supply us with the following documentation:

 1. A fully completed and signed VAF1 application – printed out and paid for online

 2. Your original passport, travel document, or US re-entry permit

 3. Your immigration status- (i.e. Valid US Alien Registration Card, Valid I94, Valid I20, Valid DS2019, Valid Visa for the United States, Valid I-512)

 4. One full-faced passport-size photo

 5. A letter stating that he/she has been accepted for a course of study at a University, Polytechnic, further educational establishment, independent school or any bona fide private education institution; (evidence would be a dated, unconditional letter of acceptance for the course of study stating the qualification the student would hope to gain).

 6. Evidence that the course will occupy the whole or a substantial part of his/her time in the form of a prospectus or information sheet.

 7. Evidence that he/she, without need to access public funds, can handle the cost of the course and his/her own maintenance and accommodation and that of any dependents during the course (evidence would be in the form of a bank statement, or confirmation of scholarship, grant or sponsorship).

 8. That he/she is able and intends to follow the course.

 9. That he/she intends to leave the UK on completion of the course.

For those students interested in taking up work while studying in the UK, you can do so without seeking permission from their local Job Center or obtaining a Work Permit as long as they are subject to the following conditions:

- He/she may not work more than 20 hours a week in term time unless the placement is a necessary requirement to the course.
- He/she may not engage in business, self-employment or provide services as a professional sports person, entertainer etc…
- He/she may not pursue a career by seeking full time employment

PLEASE BE SURE TO INCLUDE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS PLUS COPIES OF ALL REQUESTED DOCUMENTS THAT SUPPORT YOUR APPLICATION.

Once you have gathered all of your documentation, you will need to ship it or hand deliver it to us (hand delivery is only available for customers in the Los Angeles area) so that we can submit your application to the Los Angeles British Consulate the following business day.

We also require customers to submit a pre-paid shipping label from Fed-Ex, UPS, DHL or the Post Office so that we can ship all documents back in a timely manner.

Our fee to expedite your UK visa is $100.00. We accept personal checks, money orders or cashier’s checks.
